CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION LAB
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Providence Saint John’s Health Center is a state of the art facility. Using digital imaging, minimizing x-ray exposure, in conjunction with ultrasound, we perform cardiac procedures for patients with coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy (abnormal heart muscle and heart failure), heart rhythm abnormalities, and structural heart disease. We are members of the LA County STEMI (Heart Attack) Program, and have 24/7/365 coverage for emergency catheterization and stent implantation for heart attack patients. Patients in shock are treated with cardiac support pumps (Impella and ECMO). In addition, peripheral angiography and intervention, thoracic and abdominal aneurysm and dissection therapy, and acute stroke intervention are all performed by specialized teams. Our success rates and safety rates are excellent. Our team cares for our patients with skill and compassion.
