UPDATED CLINICAL PRACTICES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Pacific Heart Institute is dedicated to the health and well-being of our patients and staff.  We have taken the necessary steps to exceed the CDC's standards for infection prevention in healthcare facilities. We want you to feel comfortable and safe throughout your entire appointment. Here are the steps we've taken to ensure your safety:

  1. You will be contacted the day before to virtually check in for your appointment. This will include insurance verification, co-pays, and screening for any COVID symptoms.

  2. On the day of your visit, there will be social distancing markers throughout the check-in zone.

  3. Your temperature will be checked prior to entering the office.

  4. We will then bring you directly back to your examination room for your visit.

  5. Every exam room is sanitized after each patient encounter.

Our medical assistants are equipped with proper personal protective equipment (PPE) to bring you back into an exam room. This includes a gown, surgical mask, n95 mask, hairnet and gloves to take your vitals and perform an ECG prior to meeting with your provider.

Our sonographers and stress test staff are additionally equipped with faceshields when they perform your ultrasound or stress test.

Your provider will also be wearing masks and a faceshield throughout your visit.

If you have any other questions, please contact our office at 310-829-7678.
