Joined Pacific Heart in 1996.

After college at Harvard and medical school at UC San Diego, Dr. Natterson completed his medical residency, as well as his cardiology and electrophysiology fellowship, at UCLA. He joined Pacific Heart Institute in 1996. His practice initially focused on arrhythmia management, including catheter procedures for treatment of rhythm disturbances, as well as implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators. In 2006, he transitioned to strictly consultative cardiology, allowing greater opportunity to spend time and communicate with patients and more deeply investigate their cardiac issues.

 

Dr. Natterson has been actively involved in governance and administration at Providence Saint John’s Health Center where he served terms as both President of the medical staff and the Chief Medical Officer.

After serving two terms on the Board of Directors of the medical center, he is currently a special advisor to the board and the chair of the board’s nominating committee.  He also serves on the Saint John’s Health Center Foundation board’s executive committee and is the co-chair of the Foundation’s board affairs committee.

 

He is on the Board of Directors of the Saint John’s Physician Partners Medical Foundation and Chair of the board’s specialty committee.

At Pacific Heart Institute, he is President and Medical Director.
