Dr. Kevin O’Fee is a non-invasive cardiologist who has made California his home since moving from New Jersey at the age of 18. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Berkeley with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology, and went on to earn his medical degree magna cum laude from St. Louis University, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his internal medicine residency at Washington University in St. Louis / Barnes-Jewish Hospital, followed by his general cardiology fellowship at UCLA.

 

Dr. O’Fee’s expertise includes preventive cardiology, stress testing, echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), cardioversions, and nuclear cardiology. He treats a broad range of cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias), pericardial disease, and congestive heart failure. He cares for patients at Providence St. John’s Health Center in Los Angeles and the surrounding communities.

 

Passionate about empowering patients with knowledge of their cardiac conditions, Dr. O’Fee believes in taking the time to explain diagnoses and treatment options fully. His approach emphasizes shared decision-making that considers not only the disease itself but also the patient’s individual circumstances and life context. This philosophy allows him to partner with patients in finding the best path forward for their health and well-being.

 

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. O’Fee has contributed to the field through research published in leading journals, including Circulation and JAMA Internal Medicine, with a focus on coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, and heart failure. He has also presented his work at national cardiology conferences.

 

Outside of medicine, Dr. O’Fee is an avid golfer who has been playing since the age of four. He also enjoys tennis, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
