

Chereena, a
Santa Monica native, joined Pacific Heart Institute in
2002. She graduated Magna cum Laude from University of
Michigan, where she was a member of
Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She then earned her
Masters in nursing at UCLA and completed residencies in cardiology,
emergency medicine, and family practice, while working as a nurse in
telemetry and intensive care units.
In addition to her love for medicine, Chereena is passionate about
sports and fitness. Her accomplishments as captain of the varsity
volleyball team at Michigan, leading it to the second round of the NCAA
tournament, earned her the Scholar-Athlete Award. She still plays
beach volleyball competitively. When she's not working at PHI, she
can be found trail running with her big mastiff puppy, Levi, or playing
tennis, softball, or basketball.


Nancy is a Midwest native who earned her nursing degree from Purdue
University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Before coming out to California,
she worked at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, caring for
patients recovering from heart operations. She gained additional
experience managing nurses at a home care agency in Chicago. She has
been with Pacific Heart Institute since 2006.
Nancy currently resides in Marina del Rey with her two young
children. She loves to cook and enjoys hiking, biking, and walking
on the beach in her spare time.
